Dave @DHWasserman1 wasn’t just a mentor—he was a rare soul with a heart as big as his passion for science. He made me believe I belonged in spaces that often felt foreign. His kindness was boundless, treating everyone—whether professors or staff—with the same warmth. We spent hours talking about life, dreams, tennis 🎾, and even groundbreaking research like the work at the Mouse Metabolic Phenotyping Center (MMPC), @NationalMMPC & @MouseCentral, established by the NIDDK, @NIDDKgov. Dave had a way of making you feel seen, valued, and supported. His legacy lives on. 💙 #MentorshipMatters #Gratitude #LegacyOfKindness #ForeverGrateful Thank you @NatMetabolism, @TheBurro34 and Dr. Owen P. McGuinness

@MichaelAlbertMD@lotte_bjerre One must compare acute (mainly driven by nausea) vs chronic weight loss in rodent studies. Very likely that acute (24h) weight loss is primarily DVC mediated but contribution of arcuate is more relevant to chronic weight loss.
Closing out Glucose Clamping the Conscious Mouse, @louise_lantier describes how to process samples and analyze data from clamp studies. Don’t forget to account for your dilutions kids!
Day 3 of Glucose Clamping the Conscious Mouse! @louise_lantier takes over from the great Owen McGuinness teaching about isotope dilution using fishing analogies. One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish. IYKYK.
