Déjà vu
is akin
to following
footprints
on the sand
it is the only thing
that
truly guides you
as you
stumble on
towards ecstasy.

Love cannot
be tamed or mastered.
Beware those that sell
the domesticated variety
that comes with a leash
and is already spayed.

Life ...
washes agains't me
sucking out the sands
beneath my feet
so, I dance
and smile with laughter
for while I stand
I will not suffer defeat.

-
hang me like a scarecrow,
crucified to a post,
a steady sentry
over what scraps remain
of our #garden,
overgrown with weeds,
serpents hiss beneath me,
emboldened crows
tear open
my sewn-shut eyes,
yet the sun still rises
in the east –
warms my tattered face.

@DalaiLama Then I assume you consume a breakfast made for you by others. While, someone else makes your bed and cleans. And your acolytes flock around and arrange your daily schedule for you? You personally are certainly reaping that benefit. Good on you buddy. 😙✌️
@johnguzlowski Blind & stinky? - you might as well start drinking and become the whole stereotype. Then start writing and you'll find that lost poem you've been looking for.😁
@AuthorLeishman When you monetize information then you're intentionally placing a boot on the neck of the poor. It's the wallpaper of authoritarianism in all its hoary glory.
Zeus wandered in his #Garden. The lesser god's
couldn't understand his fascination with the simple.
For on Olympus all was luxury, everything created
was infused with their own divine beauty.
And from high, they started to despise the very thing Zeus had created. Especially, the humans that he created to work and toil, with sweat and labor. In order to maintain and nurture his latest creation.
And as time passed..
Zeus grew ever fonder of this, his simplest of all his creations. He rarely returned to the feast, and the music lost its beat, there was no dancing, or sly rapier witted banter.
Bored with disgust the lesser god's hatched a plan, one that would make Zeus abandon his toy, and return to them on high.
Apollo grabbed his golden bow, and Aries gave him
a poisoned arrow. Apollo notched the arrow, and
drew back the drawstring and let loose the shaft and all the god's watched, as it struck Zeus's garden.
The god's all howled with laughter, even spilling their wine, as the arrow that struck, bloomed into a mighty tree, that bore a fruit, blood red and full of all their jealousy; which,
they rightly named Strife.
