As residents continue the difficult work of cleaning up after recent flooding, we’re asking everyone to please respect private property and the belongings placed out for drying, repair or disposal.
Items may be damaged, personal, or part of an insurance claim. Removing or going through property left at the curb or on private property is not permitted under City by-laws and can add stress for people already dealing with a difficult situation.
Officers will be conducting extra patrols in affected areas, with increased visibility to help discourage this activity and support residents during cleanup.
Please give your neighbours the space and respect they need as they recover.
Please be diligent when parking for Bluesfest running from July 9-July 19!
Look around for any parking restrictions prior to parking your vehicle. Be safe and enjoy the festival! #Ottcity
For everyone's safety, please leave storm debris and discarded items at the curb for collection.
Storm-damaged materials may contain hidden hazards and should not be picked up or removed.
Respect private property.

A neighbour’s complaint to Ottawa Bylaw could shut down a popular Halloween house in Orleans that has raised $100,000 for kids at CHEO over 26 years.
A true labour of love.

Not paying bills 😂 and the biggest decision of the day, what game and how much candy can I sneak before it makes me sick!
Happy ‘Be A Kid Again’ Day.

Boaters are encouraged to use extra caution on Ottawa's waterways.
Heavy rainfall has increased floating and partially submerged debris in the water, creating potentially hazardous conditions.
Stay alert, watch for debris and monitor conditions closely.

If you were impacted by the heavy rainfall on Wednesday, July 1, you can leave out extra garbage and up to two containers of storm-related construction and demolition waste on your next garbage collection day.
