Gun-toting anti-shutdown protesters hung Gov. Andy Beshear in effigy and then marched the short distance to his house, chanting for him to come out of his house. Don’t know if he and his wife and young children were home.
Love always wins over hate. The Kentuckians who stood in front of our home today with signs of encouragement and positivity have not gone unnoticed or unappreciated. ^BB
We honor the sacrifices of those who laid down their lives to protect ours. I am especially solemn today as my uncle, Army Vet and Bronze Medal recipient Dr. Richard Cobble, passed on Friday. May we honor him, and every life lost, by standing together in the fight for freedom.
I am shocked and saddened by the actions of the protesters in Frankfort today. Never did I think I would see this type of behavior on our Capitol lawn. Today’s events should be condemned by every Kentuckian and American. Kentucky is better than this. I stand with our Governor.
@OurProgressive We’ve no clue what you are. You’ve obviously no clue who we are and what we’re doing to change things here.
It would be great if national progressives would stop attacking us and find ways to work with us.
@nema@riotwomennn @LaurenKataya61 @KYDemGrassroots @Tingleld @OurProgressive @IVoteInKY @Grakthis @JohnRob59768592 Totally behind this notion! Where do I send the check?
@OurProgressive@nema @IVoteInKY @Grakthis @LaurenKataya61 @JohnRob59768592 @KYDemGrassroots Keep bragging about how your activism isn’t making you any money while throwing us in “flyover country” under the bus. We’re not profiting personally. We’re fighting for most of the same things you are.
U.S. Ambassador to Canada Kelly Craft, a rising star in #Kentucky politics, was frequently absent from her post in Ottawa, raising questions about her level of engagement with the job, according to officials in the United States and Canada: https://t.co/6fGp7hPi5w (via @politico)
We have a slate of candidates who are highly qualified and ready to work for the people of Kentucky who they are beholden to when elected, not ALEC donors & other outside forces trying to bend us to their will. VOTE for Democratic Party of the People. Nov.5
@WDRBNews It wasn’t a year ago that you referred to those of us opposing Trump’s policies as deranged. Were you wrong then or now, @RandPaul?

That $7.25/hour wage is now worth $6. in 2009 dollars, the last time that the federal minimum was increased, yet Kentucky remains in the minority of states to do nothing to raise the #minimumwage for its workers.
So, Kentucky bourbon employs (or impacts employment) of over 20,000 people on a payroll of over $1 billion.
Maybe instead of repeating the #BoycottKentucky hastage repeatedly we could consider what this economic blockade would do to actual Kentuckians? 🤔
@STPFreak@GatodeMiel A boycott is not going to magically make Kentuckians woke: yes, we need good candidates, but also financial resources to #DitchMitch
Well, that didn’t take long... it seems that only thing that Boycott Kentucky supporters like @GatodeMiel won’t consider are the voices of actual working Kentuckians...
@STPFreak Working Kentuckians need allies, not boycotts of our best exports to climb out of this mess. There’s a lot of us here who aren’t giving up, but we need help.
@STPFreak How long has he been enriching himself on our backs? Who knows, but we know how he did it...
-300,000+ Kentuckians, 1 in 11 of our adults, legally disenfranchised.
-All state constitutional officers elected in the third year of presidential cycle, further depressing turnout.
