I recorded Ronnie Drew reciting this Brendan Kennelly poem one Sunday morning in a studio in a Dublin. We had a mic outside the window recording the city sounds at dawn. Beautiful whistle from @conorbyrne72 Clearing a Space for Brendan. 💚 https://t.co/WOpQP314Kq via @YouTube
@MaryMcAuliffe4 Sincere condolences Mary.
I only met him once, his pure heart and wonderful craftsmanship with words inspired me since and will continue to do so as long as I live.

@IDickson258 I think your pessimism is justified, so that is probably realism.
But I think you have a role in raising the questions and shouting your experience and making it as uncomfortable as possible for those change resistors to maintain their current course.
@IDickson258 And that is probably what someone will be tweeting about 40 years from now, saying, " how could we not have consulted the children themselves, it was so obvious and such an abuse of their rights"
Now is the time to put that right.
@IDickson258 Ian I feel a pain in my heart reading that tweet. And I wonder what is the equivalent of the "knickers bucket" for people in care in today's system.
I hope you are keeping well my friend.💚
@roisinmeaney Roisín it's a tough one, loving them and wanting something different for yourself and them is such an energy draining struggle.
May you have acceptance, serenity hope and love for your journey with them, through this phase of your life.
Courage my friend.❤
@ICantEven001 Aww Randi girl, I feel you.
My twins just turned 18 and they are heading to college next week.
I feel some relief I must admit.
Consoling myself with a week in Greece to assess what then🤣🤣🤣
