Reporter: Some members of the Jewish community, including Democratic Congressman Josh Gottheimer, were alarmed by the language you used at the rally last week, calling AIPAC monsters who move dark money.

Mamdani: I want to be very clear. We’re talking about a status quo where children are being killed on a daily basis. More than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli military since the so-called ceasefire.

And when I am speaking about AIPAC, I’m speaking about an organization that has been supportive of the status quo, that has fought any attempt to actually deliver safety to people not just in Palestine but, frankly, throughout much of the region.

And it is a status quo of immorality. It is one that I will not accept. And when it comes to the way in which they defend the status quo, oftentimes they defend it through direct contributions, as we are seeing right now in New York 13.

Oftentimes they also support the status quo through dark money, by funneling money that would have previously come directly from AIPAC through other organizations whose contributors’ identities are only made clear after an election.

And I think it is important that when we ask ourselves how such death and destruction is happening overseas, we also name those who allow it to take place.

Watching this clip back is wild. Arsenio really sat there acting shocked that Sammy Davis Jr. faced racism in the 1940s entertainment industry. Be serious. Why pretend like the man wasn’t performing in some of the most openly racist decades in American showbiz?
Sometimes these interview moments feel less like curiosity and more like performative disbelief — as if acknowledging the obvious is too much truth for TV. Sammy lived it. He didn’t need anyone’s validation to confirm what he endured.

Mayor Mamdani stood in front of the Citizens Budget Commission last night — a room full of people who oppose taxing the wealthy — and said it anyway.

Tax the ultra-rich. End the state’s drain on the city. Make those with the most do more for those with the least.

He didn’t soften it for the audience.

Here’s the reality he was describing:

Trump’s federal cuts are gutting healthcare, food assistance, housing, and transit. That need doesn’t disappear. The bill just gets pushed down onto working people — while the Epstein class collects an enormous tax handout from the same administration.

Cities like New York are being forced to absorb the cost of a federal government that is actively looting the country.

Mamdani is calling it what it is. In rooms that don’t want to hear it.

It’s wild sometimes cause I’ll see people in the industry on here champion certain artist ( like the Tyler the creators) vision now but I distinctly remember the disdain they had for him when he first came out and people not getting what he was trying to doing artistically. I remember the hate Drake got when he first came out and people not getting that. I remember the hate most ground breaking artist got.
