What they don't tell you is that the Faroe Islands cruelly slaughter hundreds of EU/UK protected dolphins and small whales for no other reason than to assert national identity. This outdated and unnecessary tradition has no place in a wealthy, modern, progressive society. #DontVisitFaroe

Late last night a further 100-150 precious and gentle pilot whales were butchered in the 7th Faroe Islands hunt of 2023. This takes the total of this species massacred this year in the archipelago to a sickening +-800.

That the EU/UK sits back a watches protected cetaceans slaughtered for an outdated tradition on their doorstep by a protectorate of a member state (Denmark) is nothing short of a disgrace and a dereliction of duty.
