Tonight I'm stepping back into 1940 with The Philadelphia Story. Katharine Hepburn, Cary Grant, and James Stewart sharing the screen. Three legends, one film, and another journey into Hollywood's golden age. 🖤🎬

The most dangerous prison is the one you defend because you’ve never seen beyond its walls.
A person can spend their entire life searching for a door, never realizing they’re the one holding it shut.

Tonight’s journey into Hollywood’s Golden Age takes me to 1946 with ‘The Strange Woman’ starring the absolutely stunning Hedy Lamarr.
I’ve been developing a real appreciation for classic cinema lately. There’s something about these older films, the atmosphere, the storytelling, the elegance, and the extraordinary screen presence of actresses like Ava Gardner, Audrey Hepburn, and Hedy Lamarr, that modern Hollywood rarely seems to capture.
There’s something wonderful about discovering a film that’s been waiting nearly 80 years for you to watch it.

Prim’s Official Statement
I have been informed that the humans consider this “their house.”
Interesting.
I patrol the perimeter, inspect all deliveries, announce visitors, and supervise meals.
They pay the mortgage.
Clearly, we all contribute differently.

Night shift is the only job where you can go seven hours without seeing another human being, then suddenly have to remember how conversations work.
Co-worker at 3:17 a.m.- Nice night we’re having huh?
Me- Who hired you?

Ava Gardner

[Moz Anderson @MozAnderson]

Ava Gardner. Audrey Hepburn. Grace Kelly. Rita Hayworth. Lauren Bacall. Hedy Lamarr. Ingrid Bergman. Gene Tierney. Veronica Lake.
There was something truly magical about the women of Hollywood’s Golden Age. An elegance that seemed effortless, a beauty that transcended the screen, and a presence that could captivate an audience without a single word being spoken.
They didn’t need elaborate special effects or extravagant productions to leave an impression. Sometimes all it took was a glance, a smile, or a perfectly delivered line. It was an era when movie stars seemed larger than life, yet somehow more captivating because of their simplicity.
And while every one of these actresses was extraordinary in her own way, Ava Gardner just might be my favorite.
Some things never go out of style.

Tonight’s movie. One Touch of Venus (1948)
A man kisses a statue, and she comes to life. Back when Hollywood could take the simplest impossible idea, wrap it in black and white, and make you believe in a little magic.

Scientists discovered a 99-million year old insect preserved in amber with a mouth nearly twice as long as its body.
So naturally, they named it after Noo-Noo,
The vacuum cleaner from Teletubbies.
Imagine surviving 99 million years just to be discovered by humans and immediately named after a children’s television vacuum cleaner.
