Being an optimist requires conscious effort to turn UP the dial on positive thinking and expectations. Optimists don’t ignore the negatives. They boldly choose to make those thoughts quieter while believing that amazing things are just within reach.

Just watched a character in a show pour her heart out to a friend. Friend asked genuinely curious questions & then gave only silence. Character replied, “Thank you for not arguing with me or trying to make me feel better.” That struck me. Love can be in the silence sometimes❤️
