An AMAZING ending to a phenomenal night. Thank you to Duquesne University’s Institute for Ethics and Integrity in Journalism for an insightful event for the community and it’s students. 😊 #DUIEJI @duqmobile

“Diversity matters, our voices matter, and I think it is unfortunate that in 2021 we still have a lot of news organizations that are still very limited in terms of their diverse perspectives.” @Lhayesfreeland sparks a new thought amongst tonight’s group. #DUIEJI @duqmobile

“Becoming the loud, wrong guy in the room, became more important than being the right guy.” @JoshTaylorHD. A very insightful take on distrust in Journalism and societal development as a whole. #DUIEJI @duqmobile

“Stop competing with each other, and start collaborating,” @kellymcb In an era of citizen distrust within the media, McBride says local outlets must work together to transform their work and credibility in their communities. #DUIEJI @duqmobile

Kelly McBride to give keynote speech to kick off the event with her first in person event in two years! Describing Journalism as an ecosystem, where the stronger parts make up for the weaker ones. Wishing you a warm welcome! @kellymcb #DUIEIJ @duqmobile

Well, #Newsroom1 is a wrap. (I forgot to get a screen shot of everyone last week, so this will have to do.) It was a strange semester to say the least, but I always looked forward to my Tuesdays and Thursdays with this crew of @duqmobile students.
