@ESabro3 I like your list much better than this one, but I’d humbly propose The Sandlot as #1. Moneyball is a great film, but The Sandlot captures the romance and childlike wonder of baseball better than any film IMO
@slmandel@dannykanell At that time, the SEC ran a smart scam ensuring they’d make the playoff w/o playing other conferences.
1. Say the SEC is the best conference, top to bottom✅
2. As such, the SEC doesn’t have to play as many conference games as others✅
3. Make non-con games cupcakes✅
@CFBTalkDaily How does RB Coach turned Head Coach DeShaun Foster at UCLA not top this list? Unqualified hire with one losing season before being fired 3 games into his second season? At least Karl Dorrell won Coach of the Year in his conference.
@DorianMaffei hi! I was so bummed to see you were closed, as I have something along the lines of The Other Valley, The Measure, and Never Let Me Go that seems like a great fit. If you're open, I can send you a quick note + would love your thoughts. Sorry to bother!
@5thDownCFB Thank you, sir! Normally I'm terrible at betting too lol. I love your coverage and insights into UCLA and college sports; please keep up the great work!
@daviddavidwoods@BruinReport@calpostbbolch I’ve gotta say — the fact that Aday Mara is one of the best players on a one-seed beating Arizona by 25+ in the Final Four really shows how deep last year’s UCLA team was. He could barely get on the court!
@B1GPodcast A key to winning is often just doing common sense things - like "play Aday Mara 20 minutes a game for UCLA MBB" or "do more QB runs if your QB is fast." Why is this rare with coaches? Is it hubris? Or are there things behind the scenes we fans can't account for from the couch?
@B1GPodcast The conferences are fully nonsensical now (Cal + Stanford are in the ACC, the "Big 12" has 16 teams and the "Big Ten" has 18 teams, etc.). What's your o/u on a timeline for a 64-80 program super league w/ leadership that makes geographical sense? Will it ever happen?
