@Sentletse The logic is simple: people queue when the expected gain from filling their fuel now exceeds the cost of waiting. The fact that you would not queue only shows that your opportunity cost of time is higher. For some motorists, the saving on a full or near-full tank is worth it.

@penuelist_ For example, the same person may decline to queue on a busy workday but join the queue on a quiet weekend. Wealth may be unchanged in both cases; what changes is the opportunity cost of time. Same wealth, different constraints, different valuation.

When he is done with the theatrics, he should deal with affordability of electricity. This profit is coming at a back of a 190% increase in electricity since 2014. This increase is as a result of consistent above inflation tariff hikes by Eskom to cover costs. That’s not “profit”
