"MP also announced a new agreement with an undisclosed large aerospace and defense contractor worth hundreds of millions to provide it with gadolinium. That’s a so-called heavier rare-earth metal that ends up in high-performance alloys for jet engines and lasers, among other applications."

Unusual Machines $UMAC
Well, hello there, MP. A long term, flexible, US magnet deal for drones? Got to imagine UMAC would want to participate. Would like to hear @evansall take in future interviews.
Brief Summary:
Reserve Capacity: Secure future magnet production slots in Texas without upfront purchase commitments.
Flexible Scaling: Adjust volume needs as technology evolves while retaining priority domestic access.
Engineering Support: Get direct expert help to optimize magnet designs.
Infrastructure Access: Bypass the high cost of building independent domestic supply chains by sharing pooled industrial capacity.
Introducing Project Swarm
America cannot achieve drone dominance while depending on foreign-controlled supply chains
Project Swarm will aggregate the magnet demand of U.S. and allied drone and motor manufacturers—creating a secure pathway from the rare earth mine to the aircraft
Sovereign airspace requires a sovereign supply chain

America’s Defense Industrial Base starts here.
Build Freedom welcomed Mike Rowe to @MPMaterials to showcase the nation’s only active rare earth mine and processing plant, home to one of the world’s richest rare earth deposits, and the skilled workforce powering our future!
250 years ago, America declared its independence. This Fourth of July, we honor the Founders and patriots who secured it, the men and women who defend it, and the innovators and builders whose efforts help strengthen America's independence every day. 🇺🇸
Rare earths are no longer just a niche mining story.
They sit at the centre of some of the most important trends shaping the global economy, from electric vehicles and robotics to AI infrastructure, drones and defence systems. Yet the real challenge is not simply finding these materials. It is building the supply chains needed to process them and turn them into the products modern industry depends on.
In this episode of The Next Big Thing, @MobeenTahirWT speaks with Ryan Corbett, Chief Financial Officer of @MPMaterials, about the race to rebuild rare earth supply chains. We explore China's dominance across mining, refining and magnet production, why NdPr is emerging as a critical bottleneck, and why demand is broadening well beyond electric vehicles. The conversation also examines the role of industrial policy, supply chain security and vertical integration in building a resilient materials ecosystem.

Great to see James Litinsky recognized by Barron’s as one of the Top CEOs of 2026 — a reflection of years of execution by the $MP team and of a mission we were founded to address now coming into sharper focus as a national imperative
The Magnets Value Chain Support Act, bipartisan legislation introduced by Chairman @RepMoolenaar and Ranking Member @RepRoKhanna, would create tax credits for the entire magnet supply chain and incentivize magnet production in America.
Magnets are in motors, generators, industrial robotics, guided munitions, advanced defense platforms, and much more. Worldwide permanent magnet demand is projected to more than double by 2035, and China produces more than 90 percent of the world's rare earth permanent magnets. This legislation will help create a secure supply chain for American magnets.
