From a stats point of view, GAMs are a really sophisticated and flexible tool for exploring water quality data. I struggled to get results with censored data and the cenGAM package. I need to spend more time understanding Bayesian GAMs which look promising for cens. water data.

@SwampThingPaul @seeseamic I'm not a Python expert... I like miniconda out of the box for use with R, it is just an easier way to manage python environments per project. You might not need admin privileges to install, I have it installed as user on my locked down work laptop.
