I had a very fruitful meeting with UAE Ambassador HE Abdullah Saeed Mubarak Jarwan Alshamsi. We held serious discussions on implementing a mandatory minimum wage of 1,000 dirhams for Nepali migrant workers in the UAE.

I also expressed my gratitude, stating: "The UAE remains a highly attractive destination for Nepali workers. We appreciate the dignified and accessible job opportunities provided."

We reaffirmed our commitment to advancing the shared future goals of both countries.

The untimely and tragic passing of my dear sister and family member, former Election Commissioner Ila Sharma, has left me deeply shocked and heartbroken.
