A DO threatened to seal a shopkeeper's store for one month if she refused to open.
The incident occurred in a commercial neighborhood of the economic capital, where the DO was filmed ordering her to open her shop.
"Open, or I will seal your boutique for a month!" he declared.
When the shopkeeper raised concerns about the risk of vandalism if she opened, the administrator maintained his position without providing any guarantees for the protection of property.
Award-winning Cameroonian musician Libianca has broken her silence on the political turmoil and ongoing crackdown in Cameroon, condemning the government’s alleged human rights abuses and censorship.
“They’ve been killing us, and silencing us by shutting the Internet… This is the same way you did not know that hundreds of thousands of us were killed back in 2016.”

Scathing editorial in @washingtonpost on Africa's aging "leaders" using Biya "election" as example. "Biya’s victories have always been characterized by widespread fraud, ballot stuffing and intimidation of opponents." Amen!!

You participated directly in the fraud that produced his illegitimate claim to victory. The results in Ndian are an assault on our collective conscience. The blood of these young people, killed under your direction, will remain on your hands. Their deaths will not go unpunished. You will be held accountable.

Dear Nigerians, PAY ATTENTION!
Our neighbors are fighting the battle of their entire lives, & it could be us. Cameroon is a reminder of our EndSARS Struggle, & they need our collective voices, they need our support!
Many have paid the ultimate price, as Paul Biya’s forces have opened fire on protesters.
What started as a highly disputed election, is now a showdown between light & darkness. So it’s light or darkness, YOU CHOOSE!
Only one camp is going to emerge victorious.
As a humanist & a pacifist, I support the long-suffering & deprived people of Cameroon in their struggle for freedom. For Cameroonians above 43 years, the 92 year-old Paul Biya is all they have known in all of their lives……..
Almost two generations have passed, & Paul Biya has refused to step aside for young Cameroonians to have a fighting chance.
Paul is how the insanely corrupt & greedy gets propped up by a 47 year-old Emmanuel Macron of France (to murder his own people).
Many Cameroonians have died; others live to count & bury their losses. The cross movement of statistics of horror is staggering. Our hope is that someday, somehow, & in some ways; your victory will trump the brutality. An end to Gerontocracy & its brother - GREED.
Africa is a problem to itself, the continent under occupation by black hand. Almost everywhere on the continent is burning. But the AU & ECOWAS are congratulating dictators. Ruler or no ruler, the conditions remain the same.
Africa received independence in the 60s, but are yet to be independent. Geriatrics in diapers get to power, & refuse to leave. Then they draw wicked inspiration from among themselves, & begin to crush the will of the people. I have seen happen over & over, & it’s unending.
From Uganda to Cameroon, Ivory Coast to Equatorial Guinea, down to Zimbabwe & the Congo. All across Africa, the problem is the same. You have the syndrome of “Sit-Tightism” sweeping across the continent, & Nigerians are wary of the Bola Tinubu’s growing & incendiary emasculation of Institutions in Nigeria.
Many pay attention, but can do nothing….
In Cameroon: people keep on voting. The magistratures & the legislatures continue to seat. And that was how the Pseudo-Democracy in Cameroon died out, without any official proclamation. In small circles of proletariat bureaucracy, piss-poor Cameroonians feel terribly betrayed. Now many want to know how the story will end. Paul Biya is the only man many Cameroonians watched on the TV growing up. They watch against their will.
So I like the story of victory, how underdogs can win. I urge you Cameroonians, don’t give up the fight. Posterity is with you. The world is with you. All the angels & Saints hear you.
And when you would have won the battle of attrition, your pent-up euphoria will erupt like a volcano. From that moment on, patriotism will be your anthem. The mood of all of Cameroon.

Is it true it not that you tried to disrupt a govt photo shoot?
Julius Kamau (Activist):
It’s true. We can’t continue to live as slaves in the land of our forefathers who died to free Kenya.
Colonialism never ended in Kenya, they use colonial laws. I am ready to die for Kenya.
People are poor & nobody cares, what’s the role of govt? politicians are liars & thieves, they stole our freedom, land & future. We must resist.
