If anyone mentions “Objectives” show them this. Let’s be honest, it’s important to hit the objective and I’m not against posting objectives on the board. There are several reasons for that - But often that’s more for those coming into the class rather than for the kids actually in the class.

What is NEEDED and more important is stating WHAT is expected and what you want students to know when they leave. It reduces stress for the kids knowing the expectations right off the bat. This will help with focus and behavior especially with students who act out in uncomfortable situations.

THE BAG GAME is an awesome but EASY to set up strategy to take a worksheet and turn it into a fun 🤩 activity!!

1 - Put your students into collaborative groups.
2 - Copy your worksheet as many times as groups you have.
3 - Cut your worksheet questions into small strips and place in sandwich bags around the room.
4 - Give student groups a number and their bag is on the opposite side of the room.
5 - Give a time limit and groups get one question strip at a time to complete at the table together writing the answer on a document or on the desk.
6 - Play music and give points per correct answer.
