Kids need consequences. This is different than punishments. A consequence is when students are held accountable for repairing harm, is logical & relates to the offense, and builds empathy.

Punishments build fear or indifference & don't teach empathy.

A5 I really believe that they nailed it in the book with 1. engage in productive work 2. maintain a safe and clean environment 3. share space effectively (might substitute effectively for politely). I also really, really like stay positive.
