Tomorrow I start my a new job. Friday I left a great school and class after a couple months.
I was blown away by what one of the parents wrote in a card that she passed me on Friday afternoon. Makes it all worthwhile when you realise the impact you may have on a child.
Even though youβre in a classroom with 30ish children and sometimes an adult or 2, is it mad that I think supply teaching is quite lonely?
@MrTs_NQTs
Anyone have idea if it has to be 12 weeks of work for equal rights pay as a supply teacher to kick in?
Eg, youβre at a school for 14 weeks but 2 are school holidays in the middle. Does this count as 12 weeks or 14?
Might sound stupid, but just trying to clarify.

I said not to do it like that and βgo and do it on his deskβ. I went over to him a few minutes later to see how he was getting on, and heβd written his whole work on his desk. He misunderstood me. ππ€¦πΌββοΈ

I was in a school (y3) class today and a boy came up to show me his work. I asked him to add something, so he held his book up and started adding it in pencil.

Taught an absolute amazing class (year 4) today. Got on so well with them and vice versa. One of my best and favourite days supply teaching in a while.
Taught a y3 class this week. Tough one, definitely needed a permanent TA in the class. But I was mostly solo this week.
Anyway, made it worthwhile when one of the children passed me this not this morning.
@b_cargill hello Baily, my 11 year old son (who happens to be a left footed centre/left back) is a big fan of yours.
We donβt get to many games as weβre further up north. Hoping to be a Tranmere in January, would you get a pic with him and sign his FGR jersey for him?
Thanks
