What the EFF have done in 13 years is impressive. Put aside political preferences/ideology and do an objective assessment.

They have grown to a stable base of approx 1.5 million voters. They have clear recognisable branding and effective communicators on stage and online.

They have future proofed themselves with the most youth support.

It could have gone differently. They could have had a divided leadership like Cope. They could have been collapsed by infiltration.

In terms of youth leadership development and platforming. They have given more young people access to political actualisation.

There are so many names of people under 35 who became members of parliament and local government councils because of the EFF.

They have an effective mobilisation capacity on the ground. Be it for marches and or events.

Those are the fundamentals and they have shown proficiency in the fundamentals of political work.
