The nurses at Mass General Brigham, who have been leading an electrifying strike for better patient and staff conditions, attempted to go back to work this morning.

They were denied entry by a greedy board of executives who have increased their own pay by $35 million and spent $100 million to hire scabs, all while denying the nurses cost-of-living raises.

It couldn’t be clearer: On one side, we have the for-profit healthcare system that is built to line the pockets of billionaires. On the other, we have the nurses who have made the decision to fight back. It’s up to all of us to stand behind them.
