@IslesVideos Classic example of what a piece of shit Malkin is. Starts crap with Hamonic and then when Hamonic says fine let’s go - Malkin turtles and needs to be bailed out by his teammates.
@NDRedEagle@stefen_rosner@TheHockeyNews I believe you are correct- a player on the bench is not part of the equation. You can gain the zone with 4 players. Once the zone has been established the player on the bench can come off the bench and join the play even if the door or jumping point is inside the zone.
@vihutchref@HometownHockey That’s a good idea - if the onus is on the player and the coach the coach will pay a lot more attention going forward. At that point the coach will hold players accountable.
@vihutchref@HometownHockey Like any infraction it wouldn’t happen 10-12 times a game.
Call it once early or warn them early and the players will stop. Ignore it and they will keep doing it. Cross checking / hooks it’s all the same let it go and it will continue- call it and it stops.
@vihutchref@HometownHockey I appreciate your viewpoint as a high level ref. You’re right it is the reality.
Our team is fine and our players are 100% compliant but I get a hard time when the other team isn’t. Not fair we follow rules but the rules don’t apply to them. I can’t sit their players.
@vihutchref@HometownHockey I don’t think refs can be concerned about being popular or being liked when tasked with enforcing rules. It’s in the book follows the rules and if you don’t that’s on the player not the ref.
@vihutchref@HometownHockey I don’t disagree with you - it’s a tough spot to be in - but if it’s not enforced then why have the rule? Officials are not popular when enforcing any of the rules - why is this one different?
@vihutchref@HometownHockey Agreed the parents should push for proper use of protective equipment but all stakeholders should be supporting the message. It’s hard for kids who say - why do we have to wear it properly when the other team doesn’t. A little support from refs would go along way.
@ButtBelly1@KathleenWinche3 @TheKevinJarvis I’m not taking either side of the debate I just think the idea of talking over someone isn’t a sign of strength in a debate it’s a sign of weakness as you don’t want to allow the other person to talk.
@KathleenWinche3 @TheKevinJarvis Such a bad take - how about he kept talking over her as he didn’t want to listen and give her a chance to reply - it’s a bully tactic for debating to keep the other person from making a solid point that he doesn’t want the audience to hear.
@criticalsfl I’m thinking corporate owned scenario with surplus beyond spending needs to provide CDA opportunity at death to exit funds from corp tax free. That tax savings is hard to make up for in rate of return differential.
