What Japan is building with @StartaleGroup is not just another blockchain or Web3 app!

It is a vertically integrated Web3 stack.

@AstarNetwork has played the role of an ecosystem root and multi-chain foundation. Startale is driving infrastructure and execution. @Soneium can become the consumer-facing and onchain execution layer of this ecosystem. Strium adds a tokenized securities layer. SBI brings finance and tokenized assets. Sony adds trust, IP, and access to mainstream users.

Web3’s problem was never only scalability.

At first glance, this may looks like a simple UI update. But it is actually an important ecosystem signal because Astar Portal has always been the place where users manage ASTR, stake, bridge, and track assets.

Now, it is also where users can follow:

- news
- proposals
- referendums
- governance activity
- forum discussions

This matters because Web3 ecosystems do not grow only through holders.They grow through informed participants and users need to know what is happening, what is being proposed, where the ecosystem is moving, and how they can take part.

From my perspective, this update brings three things closer together:

Privacy Boost is coming to Startale App on Soneium, and according to the official announcement, the Soneium mainnet deployment is already live.

Startale App integration is targeted for June 2026.

What does it bring?

🔒 Shielding
Hide balances inside a privacy pool

🔄 Private Transfers
Send without revealing amounts, balances, or counterparties

💳 Private Crypto Card Spending
Spend onchain without exposing your full financial activity

This matters because public blockchains expose too much by default.

Balances, transfers, counterparties, and financial behavior are all visible.

That may be fine for crypto-native users, but not for mainstream adoption. If Startale App is becoming the SuperApp gateway for Soneium, privacy is not a luxury.

🚨ASTR joins BTC and ETH on Japan’s new crypto credit card!

Japan’s Marui Group and crypto exchange bitbank have unveiled the EPOS CRYPTO Card for bitbank, a Visa card connected to a user’s bitbank account.

The key point?
Users can settle their monthly credit card bill from their bitbank account. For now, this settlement is done with BTC.

But the important part for Astar is the reward side:

Users earn 0.5% crypto rewards on daily spending and can choose only between three reward options:

BTC / ETH / ASTR

That means ASTR is listed next to Bitcoin and Ethereum as an official reward option for a Japanese credit card.
