Swift, bat and dung beetle stopped by π¬
Recently ringed the last two swift chicks (late breeders) and the colony this year produced 19 youngsters π¬
Once these two leave it will be next May before we see their parents again.

Dakota got bedding, a collar, lead, toys, treats and food.
Love her wee smile.

My 8mΒ² meadow, slap bang in the middle of a council estate, full of butterflies, moths, bees, beetles, birds....the list goes on.
If only everyone could even do 1mΒ² each. Collected the 'meadow maker' Yellow Rattle seeds and can't wait until I can do this on a grander scale.
This little eejit, yellow 65, was ringed last week and jumped the nest today to fly to Africa........instead she hit the ground π
No problem though, a wee check over and she took to the skies!
Farewell little swift!
