@NAEmmanuele Please also consider, if you haven’t already, your school librarian or local public librarian as a resource. These folks are sometimes forgotten about.
@PottstownNews Correct, I was just trying to tiptoe around putting candidates on blast after I heard them talk about holding the line on spending and no tax increases
@PottstownNews All I will say is, it’s interesting to hear candidates campaign at the polls about fiscal responsibility and taxes and then vote for a tax increase
@PottstownNews In my experience Evan has always reported in an unbiased manner, just the facts. He asks pertinent questions and does his homework. And I won’t get into a back and forth on this, I was the subject/part of multiple articles he wrote.
@PottstownNews 417 is my aunts home, she doesn’t really want to do an interview but I can probably get her to answer questions and email the responses if you would like.
@Beyond_the_Desk@AMLE The offerings are so slim now. Back in the day it was 6: Typing, Conflict Resolution, Art/PE/Music 7: Computers, Spanish, French, Art/PE/Music, Tech Ed, FCS 8: Computers, Spanish, French, Art/PE/Music/Health, Tech Ed, FCS, Communication Arts
@PottstownNews If it wasn’t for you researching, attending and reporting local govt would go completely unchecked. And yes, I mean YOU, not just any journalist. Damn lucky to have you informing us.
@PottstownNews Thank god you do the work you do, I truly appreciate your reporting and investigating to find info that should have just been put on the agenda anyway…it honestly makes me wonder if the board even knows what the raises were…
@PottstownNews While I can’t speak for the rest of the board I will personally say that the library will NOT be closing its doors. As with every nonprofit we face budget cuts, in our case from West and Upper Pottsgrove but continue to provide valuable services to the community.
@PottstownNews@RepHoulahan@MercuryX Really? We know there was learning loss so we are going to throw money and resources at it to create a report? I get some of it, but is it necessary? How about moving forward with resources to address all the educational inequalities across the US?
@PottstownNews Why is this stuff always such a secret? It’s not just New Hanover, it’s almost every local government organization from school boards to municipalities. I wanted all personnel actions to be voted on by council and was shot down by the then manager and president. TRANSPARENCY
