The intensity of working in education at the minute is another level. The idea that we can keep cutting back as the level of need continues to increase is pretty unnerving.
@HMRCcustomers Again, sort of useful but more questions. Is it literally a letter I send stating the amount of professional fees for each year? Will that suffice?
3/3 All I want is one door for assessment info. Instead, I’ve got a keyring of unlabelled keys and a street full of locked houses: baseline, phonics, MTC, KS2 SATs - each with its own portal, helpline and department. It’s not a system, it’s a scavenger hunt I don't want to play.
1 /3 Yesterday, I spent 25 mins on the phone trying to get a simple answer about tables checking dates. NCA said it was Capita’s problem. Capita said it was DfE’s. DfE said they couldn’t give a date for tables checking data because… they don’t want to miss a deadline. Iconic.
2/3 Meanwhile, baseline, phonics, MTC, KS2 SATs—each with their own portal, helpline, and mystery department. It’s like a treasure hunt, but the treasure is basic information and the map is on fire.
All I needed was 5 minutes. But sure, let’s waste half an hour instead.
Well, so much for "The Big Listen".
The teaching profession had asked and hoped for change.
Today, Ofsted has confirmed what many of us had feared.
Ofsted hasn't listened.
Ofsted hasn't changed.
They've had thirty plus years and countless frameworks to get things right...
@AldiUK bought these today from your Wokingham store. When I got home and opened them, I saw the grapes were mouldy. Eugh. No receipt as wasn't given one at the checkout. I'm going to put them in the food waste so they don't start smelling. Any suggestions?
