@bscholl @artman Respectfully, the rule targets lock-in, not innovation. We’ve seen plenty of “innovative” proprietary connectors whose main feature was higher margins, worse performance, and patents to block competitors (Lightning, anyone?). USB-C was industry-driven and keeps improving.

Ai or more accurately LLMs are not there yet and won’t be in the next years to be able to work good enough for you not to need at least a radar.

I never ever heard one of my professors say such things when we did internal projects, it is always a combination of Radars, Lidars and Cameras for the best results.

Redundancy is the keyword and also you’re moving yourself into the theoretical field, yes humans can “drive” with a pair of cameras but we also can take an educated guess if the visibility is poor. Ask Ai why all 3 are needed.

@YGK3D Would be interesting to know why they choose Linear rods on all axis for a printer that is supposed to cost 4999$ MSRP. Also what about the blade? After how many cycles does it have to be changed and will it be easy? How does the price add up? 700$ in parts and 4299$ in patents?

@YGK3D The rockit slicer demo had a login screen in the video, are people required to login to get the full potential of the slicer? For the price why the decision to use the flimsy plastic door instead of something thicker or glass like on the top?

@247_printing Depends what you find affordable, if you want an „affordable“ printer that can do 150C on the bed everyday than buy a ToolChanger. You can enclose it (couple of nice enclosure mods available online) for a couple of bucks extra. Mine keeps chamber temps like a Voron.

@Ubisoft Horizon Zero Dawn on PS4 and PC 😊, played that games to 100% without having a game breaking bug/glitch on both platforms. If you ask the last Ubisoft game… that was Assassins creed Black flag way back in the past…
