I get a little disappointed that CC is an eternal format but it feels like sets are designed in total isolation. From one lightning set to the next we have to ban this much...
@IAmNotPaladin So your argument is they wanted us to play with unbalanced cards, and only ban them when potentially new unbalanced cards are going to be released?
@banishedzone I would argue yes, when you consider that I think there were less than 40 mechanically unique cards for lightning in rosetta. I am not counting different color strips as unique cards, and I am sure the set included reprints.
@IAmNotPaladin Then why did they decide to wait until the new set is coming? If it was this apparent to the developers that they were imbalanced, why allow them to sit in the game for so long?
@banishedzone What is even more exciting, is Riftbound just started and has probably a much higher demand (which would mean the cost would be higher). The company has time to make adjustments from their first set and print more in the future! Fab has been up and running for many years now!
@banishedzone If you look at the calling top 8 approximate costs, Markni is 850, verdance 1070, kayo 820, gravy 1770, kassai 1300, and rko is 980. By my calculations, those all see equal to or higher than the deck you found, which includes premium versions of cards.
@banishedzone How do you want me to help you? Would you like me to record myself googling decklists and then the card prices? Also price is relative, so what might not be expensive to you, would be to others. The cheapest calling top 8 deck was over 800 dollars.
