On the eve of #stfc's 1st signing, here's my prediction of our summer transfer business.
1) A player released by either York/Rochdale. Their fans will say he's good, but not got the required quality for league football. Our fans will rejoice "he has a promotion in his CV" 1/4
@markythatcher I hope I’m so wrong. Although one or two Prem academy kids are always welcome, as long as they aren’t expected to play 99% of games & basically carry the team.
4) The squad is rounded off by a few loanees from MK Dons, Mansfield & Burton. Our board will gleefully announce how grateful these giants of football are for us developing their players. 4/4 #stfc
3) An injury prone lower league journeyman, recently released by a League One team which narrowly escaped relegation. Their fans will say he's quality, but missed 80% of the season through injury & his legs have gone. Our fans will laud this higher league experience. #stfc 3/4
This was the #STFC victory parade 33 years ago today , after experiencing the dreadful Arsenal one Sunday this was so much better, no flares and real fans behaving themselves, great day
@CSI985@alexjhays@CharlieStfcc@stfcadam It’s all theoretical bullcrap, 1.5 of our stands are either closed or condemned, plus if Clem gets his way with the redevelopment, that’ll be another few thousand seats lost. I would say our ‘active capacity’ is a very mediocre 13,000, if that. Shell of a club.
@Official_STFC can't afford to pay £8,333 a month on time.
But it's okay because we've got Ian Holloway as manager and as soon as we sign a shiny 34 year old has-been everyone will ignore this stuff all over again.
Enough is enough, stop letting them get away with this.
#STFC
@PnoTuna@CharlieStfcc@Flowergirl0404@tpwkonedwalls@stfcticket@Official_STFC The club management should’ve had the phone lines & emails staffed all the way up to the deadline at the very least. For perspective the Swindon Arts Centre ticket office is manned 6 days a week between 9 & 17:30 & they’ve got 15,000 less tickets to manage & sell.
I believe James Milner's retirement means that Tom Heaton is the final active(!!) player to have worn the #STFC diamond badge in a competitive fixture.
A fine run as it's been 19 years since the badge was axed. However, we will reach 20 with Heaton signing a new deal. Huzzah...!
5 of those 6 years we haven’t gained promotion are under Clem Morfuni. 5 stinking years of lies, incompetence and failure. STFC is rotten from the head down.
Rotten and barely functioning, the club is staring into the abyss.
Times up Morfuni. Sell up. Take the rest with you.
