Napoleon was the one who modernized France's administrative centralisation, the Code Pénal of Napoleon is still used to this day.
Like I am not a monarchist at all, but tbh Napoleon did a lot.

@TemplierPlzier @Dadu_ronron @Arrogance_0024 Well it was actually because of the Habsburgs the Netherlands fought for independence, the Bourbons came after. (Which originated from France, Louis XIV was a Bourbon).
The French Revolution was centralist but not like the monarchy, it actually failed to centralize.

France taxes more on it's overall GDP than ày country in Europe, and it has beaten China and Vietnam (yup 2 socialist countries, France taxes more it's GDP than China or Vietnam)
