Career advice nobody told you: There's nothing more valuable than someone who can just figure it out. Do some work. Ask the key questions. Get it done. Repeat. If you do that, people will fight over you.
Bro to bro: once you see the red flags in a company
Do your job.
Collect your salary.
Upgrade your skills quietly.
Build your network aggressively.
And plan your exit strategically.
The people who thrive in their careers are the ones who know when a workplace is no longer worth fixing.
If your boss is not utterly useless, you have just one job. Become a sponge. Soak up everything they know and get yourself performing at their level. It may take a while, but it should be a deeply etched vision.
That is not you taking their job. That is you growing to become more valuable in the marketplace.
@Okwesilieze82 Lol he just posted a video of one road. Shey make we post video of independence layout, Enugu for you?
Abi na Bisalla to Enugu Government house?

Switch Jobs regularly
Don't stay at a Job for 5 years. Get another Job in the industry and make sure it's a higher role with a higher pay
20 years into your career you will easily be three level ahead your peers you started with and your pay will be way bigger
- build an identity outside your job title & spend 1 - 2 hours everyday upskilling. it makes it easy to pick up the pieces if you get laid off/fired.
- find ways to make your manager’s life easy, they will like and reward you for it.
- don’t engage in office gossips against anyone. it will come back to bite you in the ass.
- don’t be a loner, make friends within and outside your organization. they might just be the key to your next opportunity.
Please participate in office gossip. You don't have to say incriminating things. Just participate somehow
The things I've found out that saved my life ehn 😭🤣
- office politics is inevitable.
- your main job is to make your boss’s life easier on the job.
- stakeholder management is a skill you must learn & be good at.
@victorA47 The train covers a short distance (Marina to mile 2 and back). The demand isn't that high in the middle of the day. The trains are barely full between 12-4pm, with 10 trips between that timeframe.
This is not correct. The train runs from marina - mile 2. The mile 2 to okoko extension isn't complete yet.
Sigh, can't believe I am defending the government.
@DoubleEph@OBEhizele Lol. The frequency has increased. The issue is the distance it covers, if they complete the extension to okoko, the number of daily riders will skyrocket.
I use it, so I know.
Using @FirstBankngr as an example. They have the graduate trainee program for entry level hires and they have FMAP (management associate program) to train and bring in people for middle management roles.
@moniepoint should learn from First bank.
Stay away from ‘Cybersecurity’ if you’re not willing to work in the financial sector (only them can pay you well).
Federal Government jobs don’t know its importance and never pay well, that is why they have been having threat blows this year (many Nigerian agencies have been hacked in April 2026).
