@PerfectAccentUK Generally et rhyming with bet; grew up East London: the t being swallowed/glottalised. However, still in same area and teaching French; when I translate the past tense of manger into English like this, the pupils look at me and say 'wot?'. They tell me they all pronounce it 'ayt'
