every day is a privilege and today is a truly sad reminder of that.
this little boy in this picture hated you on sunday’s. but he loved to hate you, and you made it very difficult to hate and not become a fan when your passion for racing showed, when you would show up to his home town to race at his home tracks. he will be forever grateful for that.
from a fan, to a hater, to a competitor, to a teammate, and to even maybe a friend. i share that story because this little kid in the picture was not anywhere near the true number that you impacted for the better just through racing.
you will be deeply missed. both on the race track, but certainly off.
RIP. 🕊️
@DeputySmitty It’s always been about health! The roster construction is great (see my Gamecocks for how much that really does matter in basketball). If that roster is healthy in Cha, they’re MUCH better than the seed they’ll end up with in the playoffs.
@DeputySmitty Used to coach - benefit of your approach is that it is quick enough pre-clip that it lets the viewer focus on and know what to look for then they see it and understand why it’s happening and the good/bad. Style helped players know what we wanted, then see it work/not work and why
@QuisMcGrady This is what I’ve been waiting on them. Let them run up a G5 schedule the next couple years and see how important NBC thinks they are when it’s time re-up their tv deal. Especially with NBC now having more B1G games moving forward.
@JosephGriffinJG This was my biggest concern - to me, the OC hire itself was less important than SB letting whoever it is do their job. Having said that, KB would be a great hire who adapts well to his roster and can prevent pigeon-holing yourself with limitations on player styles in recruiting
@FanOfHomeState I get the 3&D label and agree but man his ability to also attack the rim and keep the ball moving has been nice. I was worried that part would phase out coming out of college
@jenn554120301@J_Hooper_ Don’t disagree with you at all. I think Sion and Kon can also chip in with ball-handling. I’m more thinking continuity also for when Miller is back (Kon starting and CS running 2nd unit). They can def stagger mins though but I like the idea of CS getting most minutes with the 2s
@J_Hooper_@HornetsRuinedMe Nice I like what he’s saying. I’m either/or on Kalk v Moussa bc they both have pluses and minuses but I don’t hate the idea of CS & Moussa bringing more pace with the 2nd unit and just telling CS to go get buckets when Lamelo is off the floor. Lamelo just makes any unit play fast
@ActiveHoopers@Carsobi I wrestled with it but I said CP3 over Stockton strictly bc Stockton played that pick and roll era with Malone and a lot of it came from there. But Stockton could absolutely dish it to anyone anytime in any era I’m sure
@ActiveHoopers@Carsobi Agree with this and wonder where Jason Williams fits in. Not saying Luka or someone won’t clear them eventually but man the needles Kidd, Williams, and CP3 were out there threading for a LONG time…
@brendan370zz@AlanCavanna This is the correct take. He got real tight and without the power steering washed bubba. Even said he’d go lower if he had it to do again. If he lets bubba go the other half is bitching about race manipulation
