The price of everything is continuing to rise at an alarming rate. Then there is gas. My cheap gas station was $2.59 and now is $4.57 with just 3 months in between. If you got lots of money you can absorb the increases. Talk to real people not the work from homes. The annual deficit of 2 trillion has not shrunk and is driving the inflation.

People increasingly do not know how to criticize in a persuasive or winsome way. Badgering, bullying, and name calling do not build coalitions or change minds. The people engaging in those tactics may feel justified but if the goal is actually to persuade others its not working.

Only the most dysfunctional people think constant hostility is an effective strategy.

The dynamics of purity within a group determines what the loyalty oath looks like. What I am noticing is that people who directionally agree on most things demanding conformity from someone or they get maligned. Ultimately the group suffers. Ironically fear of those outside the group is driving this.

This happened with my brother years ago. There was a strong odor almost like a rotting lung and he couldn’t smell it himself. It would fill every room he was in and being even a few feet away from him was overwhelming. In his case it ended up being resolved with an inexpensive supplement I can’t remember now. It might be something similar.

Massie voted for Trump in the 2024 general election. After the election Trump called him and Massie urged him to move fast and pass as much legislation as possible before the opportunity was lost. Instead Trump has relied heavily on executive orders. In hindsight Massie was right.

You had said he voted against the SAVE Act, and I just wanted to correct the record because the House records show he voted for it. You’re obviously free to have your own opinions about him. I only brought it up in case you genuinely thought he opposed it.

At the end of the day, you and I probably agree on most things politically. The worst outcome would be turning people who largely agree into enemies. I wish you well, and hopefully the house margin grows in Nov.
