Alright i'm gonna stay away from the base building. They update the game just a second ago and my settlers got replaced yet again. (half i had yesterday are back and the new ones disappeared) and the funny thing is i had better settlers this time.

More stronger enemy's
Faster enemy's
Less damage you make
You take more damage
Base building can't generate food and water
No fast travel
Less exp you take
less upgrades
Less money you take
traders restock
