This week, we are celebrating #worldnurseryrhymeweek. Yesterday was ‘The big ship sails’ which we sang and made potato-print boats for. Today was ‘12345’ which meant more singing and potato-print fish. We also acted out both in our tuff trays. @bastonceprimary #eyfs #moonbug

To celebrate #scifest this week, we had a visit from @ZooLabUK! We got the chance to meet Caspar the snake, Phantom the tarantula, Honey the gecko and Princess Katie the rat! @bastonceprimary #EYFS #animals 🐍🕷️🦎🐀

Water Week day 5 - of course, the week had to finish with a mass water fight! Very wet and at times a little cold but loads of fun! The children have done really well this week, working together and exploring new things; they certainly deserved this treat! #eyfs #water #funtimes

Water Week day 4 - this afternoon, some year 3s and 4s joined us to conduct some experiments around floating and sinking. After testing their theories, the children had a go at building some boats. @bastonceprimary #eyfs #water #boats

This morning, we were treated to a visit from some lambs from one of our farming ambassador families in @bastonceprimary. We had a great time feeding them, asking questions and learning lots about lambing! #eyfs #lambing #farming

In Outdoor Learning this week, we have been looking at the Rainforest and how we can use natural materials to create things. We had a go at making some crowns out of willow sticks, leaves and flowers. @bastonceprimary #eyfs #outdoorlearning

We had a lovely visit from @deepinglibrary at the end of last week. We had ‘Eat your Peas’ by Kes Gray and ‘The Elephant and the Bad Baby’ by Elfrida Vipoint read to us. The children loved joining in with the stories and had a great laugh along the way! @bastonceprimary

This afternoon, we had Godly Play in our village church. After walking down, we met up with our lovely reverend, Reverend Carolyn, who told us the story of The Good Shepherd. There were loads of crafty activities for us to have a go at afterwards! #eyfs @CofELincoln #godlyplay

Today we had a farming day in school @bastonceprimary! Reception class got to enjoy looking around a farm on Zoom, looking inside some tractors (including the bucket of course) and even had a chat from one of our school farming ambassadors! #eyfs #farming #tractors
