@MrHeitmeier A1: I have been purposeful in the music I'm programming this year @Gateway6NKC. My favorite thing was an excited s who came up to me the day after our winter concert to tell me her dad recognized the Mexican folk song we performed, and he sang it to her that evening! #nkcchat

@MrHeitmeier A2: @Gateway6NKC Orchestras performed De Colores (a Mexican folk song) and Grasshopper Ball (an American fiddle song) at our Winter Performance. I introduced an African American Spiritual piece by William Owens to my students today! #nkcchat
