Bitcoin’s founder, Satoshi Nakamoto, has remained hidden for 17 years. A trail of clues — and a year of digging by our reporter, John Carreyrou — led us to a 55-year-old computer scientist in El Salvador named Adam Back. https://t.co/s6Jy00IDdk
This guy bought 10 #Bitcoin for just $3.48 back in 2010 🤯
Today, that same 10 $BTC is worth $672,285
Crazy how time turns small bets into life-changing money
When did you buy your first BTC?
SATOSHI: On April 5, 1933, President Roosevelt signed Executive Order 6102, which required all Americans to turn in their gold coins, bullion, and certificates to the Federal Reserve.
That ban lasted until December 31, 1974, when Congress passed legislation restoring the right to private gold ownership.
1975 is the year in which private ownership of gold was fully legalized again in the United States.
Satoshi’s choice of April 5, 1975 for his anon birthday is interpreted as a nod to, or a rebellion against, state seizure of assets, promoting self-custody and immutable ownership.
