@MattPrior13 @SussexCCC There is a hidden consequence, often grass root clubs raise money to support selected juniors. This takes money out of clubs where it is needed most and essentially save ECB money!

@mattcoxTri @sketim All we will do is bring in the same undercooked county players, if they play red ball cricket is either in April or Sept due to the ECB calendar. It is essentially a different sport on these pitches to England conditions! And as for developing a spinners no hope!

Just watching the opening Hundred match. Great contest & looked like a fun atmosphere. Good cricket is good cricket after all. It looked an awful lot like T20 & I still suspect a well marketed T20 comp could have done as well. Remains to be seen if the wider cost is worth it.
