Great read! Only one #commitedhater - you are obviously doing it wrong. I suggest pointing out areas of concern in our current system and offering something to think about going forward. Oh wait. For a small $ I can offer advice on developing a vibrant & crazy hater fan base
Look this might seem strange, but I sort of need everyone to share this article I wrote, because the last two got hate comments from this one guy and I really enjoyed the idea that I had a committed hater, but this one he hasn't commented on :( https://t.co/EGowLg4llz help RT?
@stephwescott_ I'd like to know how they are measuring engagement- I have had very mixed levels. In classes where tools provide visibility, then the students are accountable, otherwise it is similar to in class. Motivation has not changed- novelty may have spiked enthusiasm.
My concern with students back at school is that if we can't get adults to do the right thing how do we expect kids to - oh that's right schools are safe. I believe in unicorns too! maybe they are protecting teachers and students. #consistentMessage doesn't make it right.
Question before I go to sleep. If mobile phones are banned in Victorian schools then how will we trace with an outbreak in a vic school? π€·πΌββοΈ #COVIDSafe
@mattoman71 This is what I like about the tropics - chillies grow well - not quite what I had in Perth but getting there - the big plants are reapers - but I have mild ones for family too. I had 19 types in Perth- up to 10 now - but running out of space.
@JoelBSperanza Regardless of what it is it is going to be painful and confusing and difficult to implement. When have politicians ever done something that makes sense, works well and does what it is supposed to.
Observing increasing levels of teacher burnout with the current shift to online schooling. If a tight timetable is replicated online, not only does this intensify teacher stress, but imposes one (or multiple) school day timetables on families. That intensifies family stress too.
Can I go fishing in QLD? Should I? I am confused. PM says one thing state leaders say another and our local Polly says another! Afraid to turn off news in case the rules change this arvo.
@Aldous2018 @k_miller08@steven_kolber@kmcg2375 @martinallenh @BenPatrickWill @bar_zie @jelmerevers @MrFafDriscoll@MichaelHaEDU@Doctor_Harves@MRsalakas@townesy77 Teams, Discord, Slack are alternatives- my school is on teams -we are using Office365. Discord does chat well- never used it for school or video.
Slack is quite nice too. We are using good tools that were never designed for this situation, so some rough edges expected
Anyone else finding the restrictions confusing - the PM saying one thing and the states all doing it differently and the media reporting sometimes has no context. waking up each morning and having to sift through press releases and websites to see what the new normal is!
