After ten wonderful years, the end of an era as I move onto pastures new!
In all:
- 10 years, 42 days.
- Just over 1,000 children worked with!
- Hundreds of fantastic memories.
- Many long lasting friendships.
Thank you @MonteneyPrimary
I'm incredibly grateful for the many cards, gifts and good wishes I've received from the entire Monteney community; the Staff, Parents and a very special gift from the children which might give you a clue as to where my next adventure is:
Happy 545th birthday to Sir Thomas More: lawyer, Renaissance scholar, statesman, husband, father, martyr and saint who stood firm when all but one of Englandโs bishops succumbed to a tyrant. Fidelity to the Truth made him a free man.
The King of Kings has died. Extraordinary player. Unique. 3 times World Cup winner, more than a thousand goals. My idol when young. He made football the beautiful game and truly international. My time playing alongside him in Escape to Victory was a dream come true. RIP Pele
This year, our parish church is organising Travelling Carols. This is a lovely event for our community in partnership with our Christian neighbours. All welcome to join
I don't share political opinions on Twitter, but I'll make this observation.
I have worked at the school I am currently at for just shy of 9 and a half years.
Kit Malthouse is the 9th Education Secretary to have held the role in that time.
@londonteacher_ Years ago, I can remember being out with my Dad and brother when one of the children in Y1 saw me.
The said child was amazed when he found out that both my Dad and my brother were each called... Mr Lowson.
Who remembers their primary school teachers?
R Mrs Larrard
Y1 Mrs Minto
Y2 Mrs Collyer (Sp?)
Y3 Mrs Green
Y4 Mrs Green
Y5 Mrs Rigby
Y6 Miss Binstead
Y7 Miss Binstead
Miss Binstead is probably the reason I'm teaching now

To the entire @MonteneyPrimary community, have a fantastic Summer break.
A huge thank you for your gifts and cards. They are truly appreciated.
Take care and Keep safe,

Time flies in Education, so the saying goes; but with this cohort of @Y6Monteney, it barely feels like 10 minutes since they were @MonteneyFS2 and @monteneynursery
It's a fond farewell to the Monteney Class of 2022. Its been a pleasure to work with you over the past 3 years!
It is also farewell to some of #TeamMonteney too! Wishing Mrs Kemp and Miss Powell all the very best in their new ventures.
