@xaviersonline_ Glitchlers like yourself always say "Support Indie Artists" but what you really mean is "Never ever criticise my merch-farm comfort‐newgrounds‐therapy‐slop for 'young adults' (30 yo children)." Go get a mubi subscription and watch some real art, I beg of you.
The Australian parliament was designed with a lawn rooftop that is accessible to the public, this was intentional symbolism that placed the people above the government of the day...
Anyway they fenced it off in 2017 lol
@SheevTalks 'Power-scaling' as an abstract concept certainly matters; But the vicarious playground dick-measuring ideology *Power-Scalers* engage with (that every conflict should be reduced comparing lists of feats) is antithetical to good storytelling and good art.
@Gryffix They do care, they're just being disingenuous; They want China to take Taiwan.
It's the only reasonable explanation for the espoused double-think of
"China will never invade Taiwan,"
while also
"Defense guarantees to Taiwan will drag us into a war with China."
Americans will shit and piss themselves about how catastrophic their gas prices are right now and then you convert it and it's $1.50 AUD a litre. It's embarrassing.
@Absurd_Ruka "Unprovoked" does not mean without cause. 'Provoked' means intent on the part of the US to create a war. While I don't think he's supporting Japan, he is parroting the old conspiracy that FDR manufactured the attack as an excuse to enter the war.
@vmohv They have a particular soft spot for japan because, despite being leftists, they are still Americans first, ergo desiring nothing more than to consume their shonen-slop while maintaining it aligns with their views, despite being the product of cypto-fascist late-stage capitalism.
@zanyfen I'll offer that Mix-Tape is bad, and chuds hate it because of said reasons. But that they don't latch on to the proper critique (that the story is vacuous) because they love defending similarly poor writing, so that isn't seen as a 'legitimate criticism' to them.
There appears to be a lived experience gulf between those of us who have had to go periods of time eating oatmeal with water because we can't even afford milk/soy milk and those who can't imagine surviving without being able to eat three overpriced cheeseburgers a day, hey.
