Today, Peter Obi visited an IDP camp in Durumi, Abuja, to celebrate Sallah with hundreds of women and children, who have been internally displaced due to the security challenges in the country, and now struggling to survive.
These citizens do not have access to healthcare or basic education and have been faced with endless hardship. Yet, in the midst of it all, they celebrated Eid El Fitri with resilience and unwavering hope.
No child should live without learning and no mother should endure pains, sickness or pregnancy without medical care.
We celebrated Sallah with them today, but true celebration comes when every Nigerian has the basic dignity of life.
It is time to rebuild, it is time to get a better Nigeria.
