@dykeseyah This misses the point of Madonna. She is an artist. In Truth or Dare, she admits her work is first and foremost political. She came of age alongside Basquiat and Haring. Her body of work can’t be reduced as such. She’s unlike anyone who came before her. She is the reference.
I argue that this is wrong with most brand offices now —you don’t enter into a “world” like you used to. There’s too much personal individualism in the space that doesn’t speak to the brands identity.
Best Olympics uniform was made for Lithuania for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. This was their first Olympic games after gaining independence from the Soviet Union. Designed by Issey Miyake. Fabric was cut and sewn using heat, not shears or sewing machines.
kind of hates how luxury brands infiltrate every aspect of culture now for marketing purposes. hire an independent craftsperson instead and promote genuine craftsmanship, not luxury brands. if it has to be LVMH, at least don't make some marketing spectacle of it.
@insidethegroove I always love Madonna live but I really felt her joy in Brooklyn and Washington. She was having fun and so happy to be with her children!
great day to share some of my fav pics of princess diana hanging out and shaking hands w AIDS patients at a time when the disease was so stigmatized, nurses would leave trays of food outside of patients’ rooms for fear of catching it via touch
