Dünya Engelliler Günü sebebiyle ENKA İlkokulu 4. sınıf öğrencileri okulumuzdaki engelli işaret ve levhalarını yeniden tasarlayarak yeni işaretler oluşturdular.
Bununla birlikte tek kollarını kullanarak yaptıkları basketbol maçında engelli bireylerle empati kurmayı amaçladılar.
It's truly inspiring to witness the transformational impact of changemaker students like Miray S and the collective efforts within the school. She is so fortunate to have a supportive mentor as @MrPorter009
It was such an incredible journey. Was fun unpacking ideas together and watching this all unfold into the great success that it did. My highlight was Miray questioning management about how we use bins at our school and showing her passion by challenging them to do better.
Miray S (now Gr. 5) addressed recycling inefficiencies during her PYPx project in Gr. 4, proposing color-coded and labeled bins for improved awareness. This week, our school supported her, painting and labeling the rest of the bins across our Primary, Middle and High Schools.
In accordance with our theme for December, #SDG10 Reduced Inequalities, @EnkaOkullari has followed in @Decathlon’s footsteps by designing #AbilitySigns. Students in our primary school have created their own designs. Next step, replacing disabled logos with new inclusive signs.
International Day of Disabled Persons was celebrated on the 3rd of December 2023. To raise awareness and to understand in the slightest how challenging it is, ENKA had basketball matches using only one arm. It was an exceptionally challenging experience with many falls! #sdg10

You know you’re doing something wrong when this happens at your school. Gotta keep the passion alive and burning by listening to their ideas and giving them a platform to step on and take action.
Such an important reminder. I believe in this 100%. Get to know your kids, allow them to get to know you, build trust, build understanding and then, once you have a relationship with them, teach them. Well said @trev_mackenzie
This our 3rd logo created by one of our Grade 4 students; İpek C. It focuses on the beauty of nature and the importance of #climatechange . Did you know that we’ve lost around 28 trillion tons of ice since the mid-1990s?
When my students share their own messages about #racism based on our discussions around stereotypes, prejudice and discrimination, it makes me really proud 🥹 @EnkaOkullari
Aden S and Ipek C wrote a very detailed email to the administration at our school about our #plasticwaste and #paperwaste in the cafeteria. We received their response which can be seen below.
Who said children can't make a difference? #worldchangemakers#nomoreplastic#inspired
Grade 4 students, Neslihan T, Deniz H, Delfin G, Nazlı Y and Leyla S want to raise awareness on #DiversityandInclusion by wearing mismatched shoes and socks. They dare to be different and encourage everyone to express themselves in any ways they want to! #SDG10#TakeAction
