Hey @SecCardona, check this out! To celebrate Computer Science Ed Week, students at Nathan Hale Elementary made us into robots. They used their coding skills to take us on a stroll through Hartford on a map they drew. We visited the Capitol and the @CTScienceCenter on the map!
Tip for Teachers and Admins: When you see a kid in the hallway, the first words out of your mouth need to be connection not correction. Don't start with "where are you suppose to be?" start with "Hey, how are you? Everything okay?" Then you can ask where they need to be.
Started career as a fourth grade public school teacher in my hometown. Went on to serve as elementary school principal, and most recently served children, teachers, & parents as Commissioner of Ed. Feel blessed to be nominated as education secretary! Thx @JoeBiden@KamalaHarris
It’s not everyday you get an alert on your phone that the POTUS is set to name someone you know and have worked with as the next Education Secretary. Well deserved! #makingmeridenproud @teachcardona @MeridenK12
I am beyond excited to get these slides into my parents hands this weekend! I’m hoping these slides will do a couple things. 1, create a consistent use of language used when coaching readers. 2, educate parents on how to coach without giving the word away 🙈#TCRWP#Kindergarten
Nathan Hale Staff engaging Ss and using digital tools to ensure our Ss still achieve! Use digital tools the right way and positive impact can still occur during this time! #TeachFromHome#distancelearning#herestudentssucceed
@mradamwelcome @burgessdave@burgess_shelley I would love one of your give sways because my budget is quite tight right now. I love to learn and read so hopefully you have one to share. I’m maximizing my potential by continuously surrounding myself with people who have different opinions, experiences and ideas.
