@ItsJamesHall@Therichardralph Realistically to pull it off you need an aggressively outsized income or aggressively outsized investment returns - ideally both. Even if you save 100% of your salary and put it into index funds a 25yrold on an average salary wouldnโt touch that amount.
@italianinvesto@OpenAI How does a treasury company like this burn cash? They look to be controlling 8% of Worldcoin which is also owned by OpenAI and pumping. I bought some of the stock based on OpenAI/Worldcoin run up. Time will tell.
@const_reborn@teortaxesTex@const_reborn in the language of someone whose using Claude etc but not a developer etc. Can you explain the significance of this and how it stacks up against 'retail models' etc? I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't know how to benchmark what appears to be a great success.
@thestrictlylaw ยฃ120k after tax is ยฃ76k, two kids in private school costs ยฃ60k, leaving ยฃ16k a year for your mortgage (can be ยฃ48k for a 3 bed semi alone), bills, holidays etx - it's simply not enough.
@bull_picture@GreenZenForest@JTLonsdale@Stonewrot PayPal spent $21.8m in TV ads in 2025 alone. Finding a single channel product fit for a startup is very different to growing/maintaining category dominance in a mature market.
@lukeharries Labour opened 6 million trust funds for kids born between 2002 - 2011 with ยฃ250 each that grew to approx ยฃ2.2k per kid at 18. Weirdly no one talks about what was a brilliant initiative.
@londonHenryGB My thinking is we'll see crashes but IMO they'll be bid back up faster. There's not enough being spoken about the huge monthly index investing via pensions etc
@SiamKidd More subnets = greater chance of a mainstream breakout IMO. Fact is 250k+ for a slot kinda makes you question why you'd not just go raise finance?
