Wednesday night, Alvin ISD School Board moved to appoint its 14th superintendent since 1925, the eighth superintendent holding a doctoral degree, the second female superintendent in district history, and the first African American superintendent of Alvin ISD.
Dr. Mason, you have earned this seat. You have earned this opportunity. And I am proud tonight to cast my vote and my full support behind you as the next Superintendent of Alvin ISD.
Congratulations, Dr. Mason, and may God continue to guide your leadership and the future of Alvin ISD.
As Scripture reminds us in Isaiah 40:31:
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
God bless you, and God bless Alvin ISD.
Many see ‘being tough’ on someone as a negative. In a world full of coddling and entitlement, sometimes your biggest advocates are those that care enough to push you out of your comfort zone. Don’t get made at those who care - be frustrated with those who tolerate mediocrity.
Underrated signs of a high performer:
• They hate small talk.
• Are not okay with wasting your time.
• Do what they say they’re going to do.
• Do it with urgency.
• Are obsessed, not just interested.
What am I missing?
