Feeling very “Imagination, life is your creation” after attending and presenting at yesterday’s #NNPSiNNovate conference. 💕Our district is doing AMAZING things! #NNPSProud
@SFLOK2Ask#OK2Ask Q10: Prioritizing my time and saying no. I think when my schedule is a little less full it is easier to practice saying “No” to better manage my stress and shape my priorities and boundaries. #TeachersFirst
@SFLOK2Ask#OK2Ask A6: collaboration with other educators, focusing on topics I am really looking forward to teaching, learning, or expanding upon. #TeachersFirst
@SFLOK2Ask#OK2ASK A5: even more than the opportunities, strategies, and resources: it has been the people I have met that have impacted my practices #TeachersFirst
@SFLOK2Ask#OK2ASK A4 I was motivated by a grad class that I am taking but their is value in knowing you are not alone. So often teaching can feel very isolating especially if you aren’t supported by a team or your administration so it’s always a good idea to find your people#TeachersFirst
@SFLOK2Ask#OK2ASK A2: Because school just ended here one of the things I do each year is take a true breather before I consider next school year. I find that my mind needs time to decompress. Using the summer to plan for long range school year goals is helpful once you go back too
@teacher2teacher#T2Tchat A7 One of the things (in my first grade room) that we have had to enforce is that “the world is big enough for all of us to shine”. Sometimes equity vs. equality gets difficult to understand for growing brains but this allows us to make space for everyone.
