Today we tested some of our second grade students houses. They used the #designthinking process to find ways we could rebuild houses in the Bahamas to withstand the next hurricane. #dorianhurricane#empathy
Second grade this week is using the design thinking process to come up with ways the people of the Bahamas could have built their houses to better withstand hurricane Dorian. Next week we take our paper prototypes and build them. #empathy#DesignThinking#dorianhurricane
Our kinders and first graders got to start ozobots today! They had fun perfecting the lines and trying all the colors to see if ozos light changed to match. Next week writing code to give him directions.
I love sneaking up and catching the broadcast crew sending out the end of the day announcements via live video feed into the classrooms! Thanks @WSEMartin1 @WSELibrary for helping the kids pull this off everyday!
Feeling so blessed today. My mom was diagnosed with Leukemia in July. This team has been incredibly supportive, all wearing orange today to show love! Even the 5th graders wore orange and a parent made keychains for my class! #cancersucks
Easing our kinder into STEM. Love watching what their creative minds come up with. Today we had a teddy bear, flower garden, and a bird. Oh and a hot dog stand.
With kinders first day in STEM specials we did stem bins to get our creative brains thinking! I love this boat he created and how he was so excited to explain to me how it worked!
